(Jason): Treasurer’s Report—Budget is $166,000. All bills for band trip have been paid.

•Online quota is updated on the website.
•Clusters Popcorn is not up yet. The check numbers have not been able to be processed yet. •Fundraisers—hoagies/Matey’s Pizza kicking off this weekend
(Mr. Long):
•Parade of Shamrocks
•Chili Pipers Concert coming up
•Band Concert end of March
•Jazz Band is performing at a few Jazz Band Festivals in the area
•Orchestra Concert is in May as well
(Mr. Frank):
•District Orchestra—4 kids
•PIT Orchestra practice coming soon
•First Company—a yellow slip was sent home with all rehearsal information
•Auditions will be next week (Wind Players and then Percussion)

Holiday concert this weekend—Friday night and Sunday
The trip was excellent…and the kids were excellent as well.

Exciting news—7 students made District 10 Band and Orchestra!! Congrats to all of the students! Stay tuned and see how these exceptional students do!

LHSGBOPC Meeting Minutes—November 12, 2019
Present: Meg Evans Gartley, Nikki Giannaras, Jason Applegate, Mr. Long, Mr. Frank, Mrs. Wydrinski, Mr. Lerch, and Chaperones
Trip:
•Chaperone introductions. Thank you for volunteering!
•Chaperones will receive manifests, eTix, Room information, Band Block, etc.
•Flights: We wanted to go Southwest..but they did not post seats. We went with American Airlines. Southwest moved from Newark to LaGuardia…which was the problem.
•Goal is to print out tix and go straight to TSA to check in because we do not have luggage.
•Review of Itinerary with group.
•QUESTION: Do we have kids load trucks or do we pay for stagehands to do it in LA?
•We have Park Hopper Passes—so kids can go in between.
•Hotel staff will load luggage onto the truck.
LHSGBOPC Meeting Minutes—October 10, 2019
Present: Britt Reifinger, Meg Evans Gartley, Nikki Giannaras, Jason Applegate, Amy Haydt, Mr. Long, Mr. Frank
Nurse: Kathy Halkins talked about the medical forms for the trip.
They are due back on October 22, 2019.
Fill out forms completely and sign them. Second form lists items that nurse is allowed to give kids.
Students are allowed to take their meds by themselves if it is not a controlled substance with a doctor’s order. If child is unreliable, nurse will give it to child, but a doctor’s note is needed.
Please send enough pills for the trip and 3 extra days…just in case.
If nurse is giving meds, they must be in a drug store official container.
Epipens and inhalers go with the student.
Form must be filled in and signed for student to take meds on trip.
List food allergies on the form.

Band Director’s Report

*Great marching season so far…but we are far from done!
*Ephrata Parade was great! Positive responses from sidelines at parade. Tremendous event!
*Celtic Parade was excellent! Lots of support from our town!
*Field Show is great! Finale almost done!
*Thanks to the band parents. They shared extra food with BECCA’s Band…and BECCA sent us a beautiful note thanking us. Thanks!
*Received a note to return to Florida and perform. Very nice!
*Our documentary has been picked up by PBS International! It has been shown around the world!
*Freedom vs. Liberty Game
*10/23—Practice with Middle Schools—6-9 PM
*Saturday report for game is 10 AM.
*New uniforms will be here in 1.5 weeks—150 uniforms. Our kids will be using them this year.
*TRIP—We are 2 months out from trip. Specifics are being settled. We will be in Disney on Friday, Universal Saturday, Parade Sunday. We are currently working on having everyone eating Thanksgiving Dinner together…but plans have not been settled yet.

*10/24 (Thursday)—Bonfire—Band plays—Senior Night for football players and cheerleaders
*10/20—Runner’s World Water Station—We also do a volunteer pep band that perform (2nd and Webster Street starting at 7:45 AM).

•Parents who would like to sign up to work the bandstand or 3rd quarter food stand…please see me after meeting. Clearances are needed to work these positions.

•A few fundraisers have closed. Their expected delivery is September 21, 2019.
