Proposed Amendment to the Bylaws
Section to be amended is:
Section 7 Duties of Officers
Officers of the Liberty High School Grenadier Band & Orchestra Parents Club shall now be:
A. President
B. Vice President of Volunteers
C. Vice President of Student Accounts and Student Fundraisers
D. Treasurer
E. Secretary
Duties of Executive Committee Officers:
A. President – Shall preside at all meetings of the LHSGB&OPC, Board of Directors, and Executive Committee and shall be an ex-officio member of all committees and task forces.
B. Vice President of Student Accounts – Shall be responsible for maintaining and posting of students’ quotas and coordinating student fundraisers.
C. Vice President of Volunteer Coordination – Shall be responsible for securing volunteers and coordinating any events/activities as required for of the LHSGB&OPC. Coordinates any fundraising that benefits the LHSGB&OPC as a whole. Shall perform all duties of the president when the president is absent or the office has been vacated.
D. Treasurer – Shall have charge and keep accurate records of all the LHSGB&OPC funds. The Treasurer shall make disbursements to execute administrative business in conjunction with the approved budget and in accordance with Article IV Section 9. The Treasurer shall submit a monthly financial report showing monthly, year-to-date, and budgeted expenditures. The Treasurer shall submit the financial records for an annual audit by an independent auditor and submit any required filings or reports, which should be completed as soon as possible after the end of the LHSGB&OPC’s fiscal year.
E. Secretary – Shall keep a record of all proceedings of the LHSGB&OPC, Board of Directors, and Executive Committee, and handle the LHSGB&OPC’s correspondence. The secretary shall keep and provide minutes of the general meeting to the membership as well as take attendance at all meetings.

- Upcoming fundraisers: Strudel, Soup, Krispy Kreme doughnuts and cofffee, and Fastnachts

Directors Report:
- Mr. Frank shared in December and January two small groups taped for the Mike Zambelli Show, TV2. Check your local listings for show times.
- District Festivals are coming up we have students participating in both
- Woodwind Trio performing this Saturday night
- Pep band – looking to perform for some games within the next 3-4 weeks
- Pit Band for spring show starting up soon
- Keep an eye on your calendar for not only band and orchestra but the Theatre/Drama Spring events
- Mr. Long thanked everyone for a great Winter Chorus & Orchestra performance
- Upcoming events:
- March – Red Hot Chili Pipers, tickets $20, sales to be announced, watch website and newsletter for details
- March -Parade of Shamrocks, Band Concert
- April- Orchestra and Chorus concert
- May-Pops concert, 1st Co concert, Memorial Day – Band participates

- EARLY MORNING BAND- starting up again in a few weeks

Spring 2019 Trip to Broadway. Date to be announced. LHSGBOPC and Choir are invited, Mrs.
Wydrzynski will be helping to coordinate.
Trip 2019-2020- Location not announced until BASD Board meeting in December has given
approval. Trip meeting will be held in early January 2019. Separate meetings for current band
members and incoming freshman.
Mr. Frank thanked all volunteers who helped so far this year. Our organization cannot run
without the many volunteers who step up.
Gloves left in raincoats after the very wet LHS/FHS re-match were thrown away. Due to the very abundant rain the gloves left in pockets were in poor condition, so they were discarded. If you are missing gloves, you will need to purchase a new pair.
12/1 Orchestra and Band Auditions for PMEA at Parkland 18 are going for District 10 – 8a to 2p.
Names are posted on the bulletin board.
Festival Dates are posted on the Bulletin Board.
Pep band for Winter Sports: Uniform=Jeans and T-shirt.
If your uniform is in need of cleaning use the one that is in the Shoppers Village strip mall on
Catasauqua Road by the Beef Baron.
