President/Tina-
*The concert was excellent and a huge success! Thank you to all of the parents who helped with the concerts! We appreciate all of your hard work!
*The minutes from the April 12, 2022 meeting are on the screen for the parents to view that are attending via Zoom.

*Thank you so very much to all of the people that attended the meeting and helped with the concert.
VP/Meg-
*We need parents to run the WaWa fundraiser and the Matey’s Pizza fundraiser.
Deena Aguiar volunteered to run the Matey’s Pizza fundraiser. We are looking to run a cheese fundraiser before the end of the school year. We are looking at delivery dates.
*If your student is a senior and has money in their account…the money can stay and roll into the general fund, you can request a refund by sending a request in writing/email by May 15th, or you can transfer it to another student as long as there is not a gap in years. A written/email request must be made to the VP of Accounts and Treasurer by May 15th. Money will be transferred in June. Checks will go out the first week in June.

Nominations Committee/Voting-
*People in attendance were informed that Sue Testa will no longer be running for the position of President.
*The slate needs to be accepted the way it is. A motion was made to accept the nominees by Sue Testa-First/Joe Testa-Second.
*The slate of nominees has been passed.

*First Company will be playing for the 100th Celebration on June 5th.
Director/Mr. Frank-
*I just want to take the time to say thank you for a very successful concert weekend. The kids stepped up and did a heck of a great job! Thank you to everyone for all that they did. Thank you so very much!
*This Friday at 7 PM–Orchestra/Choir Concert. The Evening of the Arts will take place 5:30-7:00 PM that night. Arts will be showcased. Come early and check it out!
*Dress Rehearsal for Friday’s concert is after school 2:30-5:30 on Thursday. This allows kids to go to College Planning Night. Concert is formal dress.
*Saturday morning-10:15 report time-Cops & Kids with Broughal. First Co. in uniform. Meet at Greenway.
*May 6 at 8 PM–Orchestra Pops Concert–Dress rehearsal the night before.
*The Hotel Bethlehem is celebrating their 100th anniversary this year as well!
The Jazz Band will be performing for this event on May 28th. Other parts of the band may be there as well.
*June 5th–100th Celebration of Liberty High School. It will be a jam-packed day!
There will be building tours. 11:00-First Co. will play. Ceremony takes place at 12:00. All parts of the band will present. There will be lots of celebrating, speeches, etc. That afternoon at 3:00 PM, the alumni band and other parts of the band will play in the stadium.
*Orchestra does perform at graduation…even seniors. June 6-7 are rehearsals. June 8 is graduation in the BASD stadium.
*Tomorrow night is a jazz Big Band rehearsal at LHS. Kids are invited to attend.
*Summer Band Camp starts August 8, 2022. Sectionals will occur throughout the summer. Please try not to take a vacation during summer band. It is hard to get the band ready when kids are missing for a week. Thank you!
