Approval of Minutes from 08-13-2026:

Julie called the meeting to order. She thanked the volunteers and those who donated items so far this season. A motion to approve the minutes was made by Annalisa Kelly-Cavotta. Second by Mike Calagna. (Motion passed)

Report from Treasurer (Julie for Teresa):

Monthly report 7/1 – 8/31
- Starting balance: $90,476.65
- Ending balance: $68,901.10
- Income: $880.09
- Expenses: $22,455.64
Monthly report 8/1 – 8/31
- Starting balance: $85,443.60
- Ending balance: $68,901.10
- Income: $880.09
- Expenses: $17,422.59
There were some fundraiser expenses from August that were deposited in September. We will see that shown in next month’s report.

Approval of Treasurer’s Report

A motion to approve was made by Hiedi Schilanskas. Second by Carissa Henry. Overall approval by the full organization. (Motion passed).

Report from VP of Volunteers (Mike):

Thank you to all of our volunteers and those who gave donations.
Look for more opportunities as we approach Liberty/Freedom and Bingo.
Bingo (Julie)
- Bingo is 2 months away.
- There will be a request for baskets and a grand prize.
  If you have/work for a company that is willing to donate gift cards or prizes please let us know. We have a letter if needed.
- If you are interested in going to stores with the letter to request donations, let Julie know.

Audit Committee (Grace Calasanz):

Grace reviewed the report for Q4 (25-26).
There were no questions.

Report from Directors:

Mr. Lennox
- Program Dues:
  - Program Dues are due on October 1st.
  - If you need help with CutTime please reach out.
- There are a few bags of berets that still need patches. Please let us know if you would like to help sew them on.
- Lessons are being offered after school from 2:30-2:55.
  Sign up on Mr. Lennox’s door.
Mr. Frank
- Football Update:
  - The Northampton game is Friday not Thursday.
  - Football season is fully in the swing of things and going smoothly.
  - Students should be coming in with brass shined and trousers pressed.
- Celtic Classic Parade (9/26)
  - More information to come.
  - For parades, we meet at the parade site – no buses.
    The school will be open ½ hour prior to the parade and then ½ hour after.
  - Celtic Classic meets at City Center. It is a short parade. We step off at 11:30.
  - Meet your student at the train tracks at Wooden Match.
  - No Hellertown Parade. This year we will march Celtic Classic, Bethlehem Halloween Parade, and Parade of Shamrocks.
- Pep Band
  - Boys Soccer ? 9/29
  - Girls Soccer ? 10/1
  - Pink Out ? 10/5
  - This is a volunteer group but encouraged.
  - Students will receive community service hours (min. 2 hours earned).
- LHS/FHS
  - We are starting to prepare. This year is extra special and will include 200+ alumni. This will put us at 400+ on the field during half time.
  - The week before is busy. Please plan ahead.
    - Saturday: BECCA game & Homecoming
    - Sunday: Bethlehem Halloween Parade
    - Tuesday: Combined with FHS during day/Alumni rehearsal at night
    - Thursday: Bonfire
    - Saturday: Rehearsal starts at 9am (report time will be earlier)
- Pull Out Gigs
  - Pull out gigs are starting to show up.
  - Chamber of Commerce ? 1st Co. and Pipes & Drums
  - Directors consider how much students are being pulled from class.
    Students (and teachers) always have the option to say no.
- Orchestra
  - Uniforms are starting to be issued.
  - Tuxes: band shoes are great to wear with tuxes.
- Fundraising
  - Please don’t send fundraising checks to the directors.
    Please bring checks to the fundraiser pick up.
- Friday’s Football Game
  - We will welcome our 8th grader future grenadiers.
  - They will be sitting next to the Tubas.

New Business (Julie):

Island Expressions, chaired by Bridget Hujsa, starts 9/20 and will run until 10/4.
Pick up will be on 10/15.
There are openings for snack/water donations for upcoming football games.
Philly Pretzels ? Julie has worked out a deal. Please reach out before putting in an order.

QUESTIONS:

How do we pay Program Dues?
Check or Cuttime (Credit Card option).
