May – Band Performs at the finish line in Dorney Park for the “Tour de Trump,” Donald Trump’s short-lived, American version of the Tour de France bicycle race.
Aug. – Liberty’s 3rd Assistant Director, Kevin Long, arrives. (Ron Sherry went on a half year sabbatical, with Greg MacGill assuming the directorship.)

1992
May – Hyack Festival, Vancouver, British Columbia, 1st place – parade, 2nd place – jazz band, 3rd place – concert. The LHSGB also
stayed in Seattle, Washington, for sightseeing/practice.
Aug. – Sgt. Gale Lawson, Senior Member, Her Majesty’s Band of the Coldstream Guards, is granted special leave to travel to Bethlehem
to drill/rehearse the LHSGB during summer practice. Sgt. Lawson enabled the LHSGB to achieve greater authenticity as it emulated the
Coldstream Guards.

April – The LHSGB travels to England to reunite with the Coldstream Guards Band, this time in Guildford Civic Hall, Surrey. The LHSGB’s attendance at the
Major General’s Inspection of the Coldstream Guards at Chelsea Barr rehearsal at historic Wellington Barracks, and inspection by members of the Coldstream Band

April – United Kingdom/Scotland Tour, marking the 10th Anniversary of our unique relationship with the Coldstream Band.
The LHSGB remains the only high school band in the world to join ranks with the Regimental Band of Her Majesty’s Coldstream Guards.
Highlights of the tour were our two bands’ joint concert in Fairfield Hall, Croydon; and the LHSGB’s parade through the border town of
Coldstream, Scotland, where the band recreated the Coldstream Guards 1661 march over the River Tweed into England. Our students were
also invited to Sandhurst (Britain’s army officers’ academy), where the Coldstream Band provided all music for the cadets’
