1922
Liberty High School opens. Louise Morris, followed by George Hubbard, Supervisors of Music in the BASD, envisioned an instrumental music program at Liberty. Joseph Ricapito, then a student at Lehigh University, was asked to lend his expertise, eventually taking on the directorship.

Feb. – Guest Conductor, Orchestra – A. M. Weingarter -Sponsorship of Band and Orchestra members to attend Cleveland Orchestra at Lyric Theater in Allentown.
March – Guest Conductor, Band – Edwin Franko Goldman [autographed and supplied at no charge his book, “Life of Dr. Goldman,” so Mothers’ Club could raise money (each copy sold for 10 cents)]
